Searle's KEC cooler (released March 2008)

The Searle KEC cooler is the next generation of Unit Cooler, with market leading performance, noise levels and energy efficiency. Using EC Technology as standard across the range, the Power Input for the KEC cooler is typically 50% that of other cooler motors.

The KEC coolers cover a capacity range from 1.2 – 9.9kW and are ideally suited for cold room applications and cool
cabinets. The range has a modern aesthetic design and is easy to install and maintain.

A range of refrigerants, including CO2, can be selected and Searle provide a CD-Rom with selection software, or alternatively selections can be made interactively on-line at www.searle.co.uk.

The KEC utilises the unique Searle ‘D’ fin which has been specifically developed for refrigeration applications. The ‘D’ fin incorporates ½” outside diameter tube with extended inner surface – ‘rifle bore’ – to maximise performance and combines the requirements of high efficiency heat transfer with the need to have secondary surface on which to deposit frost and maximise the periods between defrosts. All coils are tested to 35.8 bar and have a maximum operating pressure of 20.7 bar [except CO2 coils – see separate technical brochure].

The fansets used in the KEC are all 300mm EC fansets with
internal thermal protection and are flush mounted within the casing providing a clean fascia. The KEC10, KEC15 and KEC35 all utilise the 1370RPM motor with the remainder of the range using the 1750RPM fansets. Al l are rated at IP44+ with an operating temperature range of –40°C to +40°C and 230V-1PH 50/60 Hz power.

Searle's KMe cooler (released February 2007)

The KMe range of coolers is ideally suited to large cold rooms and small warehouses where an efficient solution is required. The KMe can also be used for industrial food processing and agricultural applications.

A range of refrigerants can be selected in the Searle Selection software, which is recommended for choosing
the best model in the range. The KMe utilises the unique Searle ‘D’ fin which has been specifically developed for refrigeration applications. The ‘D’ fin incorporates ½ “ outside diameter tube with extended inner surface – ‘rifle bore’ – to maximise performance and combines the requirements of high efficiency heat transfer with the need to have secondary surface on which to deposit frost and maximise the periods between defrosts. All coils are tested to 35.8 bar and have a maximum operating pressure of 20.7 bar [except CO2 coils – see separate technical brochure]

Options specific to the KMe are :-

Air streamer – to extend the air throw of the standard 400mm fanset

Forkguard – a guard system to prevent accidental damage from forklift trucks or similar when sitting the cooler at low level.

Axial fans – for significantly increased air throw or for external pressure o f 120Pa.

Peripheral Heaters – available in conjunction with axial fans, recommended for applications below 0°C.

Air socks – available in conjunction with axial fans.

Heavy Electric Defros t – comprises additional coil block heaters to increase the total defrost load by approximately 40%.

Fan Plate Heaters – to prevent fan blade contact with frost build up a t low temperatures.

Searle's ME Air cooled Condenser Range (released February 2006)

The ME range of air cooled condensers has been designed specifically for small supermarkets and convenience stores and is competitively priced to offer is competitively priced to offer the optimum solution in terms of performance, quality and value. The ME has the advantage of the standard unit being oriented Vertically or Horizontally simply by re-locating the legs and the range is of manageable size to be adjusted simply on site. The standard ME also has a coil header protection guard that is then easily transferred for use as a header cover when the unit is located in its final position. In addition, the innovative ME design enables the 500mm and 630mm fansets to be fitted on the same casework frame by the use of infill panels.

The ME is available in 2 module length sizes of 900mm or 1200mm and is offered with either 500mm or 630 fansets in 4,6 or 8 pole speeds as well as the highly energy efficient optional EC fan. A range of fin materials can be selected for varying corrosive environments. Model selection can be made either directly from the catalogue or by using the popular Searle Selection software, available on CD, as a download from the website or interactively on-line at www.searle.co.uk. Motor Control options for the ME range include EC control, which can either be programmed internally and controlled in a Master - Slave arrangement or controlled externally by a proprietary refrigeration controller. Other control options include Triac speed control or Pressure/Temperature switch control.

NXS-NXR Condensing Unit (released March 2008)

Searle NXS and NXR condensing units combine a modern, streamlined appearance with low noise levels, high energy efficiency and compact dimensions features which make the units the ideal refrigeration partner for the catering and food retail industries including food preparation areas, cold storage facilities, convenience stores, garage forecourt shops and supermarkets.
The Searle NXR range of reciprocating condensing units comprises 11 medium temperature and 5 low temperature models covering a duty range of 0.6kW to 19.2kW on R404A/R507.

The Searle NXS Range of scroll condensing units comprises eleven medium temperature and nine low emperature models covering a duty range of 1.5kW to o 46kW on R404A/R507 and R407C. Noise levels range from 33 dB(A) for the smallest single fan unit with fitted fan speed control operating at minimum speed to 50 dB(A) for the largest four-fan reciprocating unit operating at maximum fan speed. The fully weatherproofed units are supplied prewired and ready to install. All models are suitable for floor or roof mounting. The smaller capacity units may be wall mounted or, where floor space is at a premium, double stacked. Details of available wall brackets, stacking frames and vandal proof guards can be obtained from your Searle supplier.
