Searle offers a wide range of solutions for supermarket refrigeration, both standard and special. As such, Searle is a preferred supplier to all major UK supermarket chains, where its high quality products are widely specified, sometimes exclusively.

In addition, Searle also offers unmatched technical support and excellent manufacturing capability and capacity. Based on many years experience in this market-place, Searle can combine these resources to work with customers in designing and manufacturing solutions to meet any supermarket application. These could include special condensing units, compressor/receiver units, control panels, noise attenuation solutions, etc., so meeting the growing trend for more factory-built, complete, turnkey systems.

Searle’s extensive portfolio of standard products for this market-place includes coolers, air-cooled condensers and condensing units. All Searle’s standard coolers and condensers are certified under the Eurovent “Certify-all” scheme which, through independent product testing, provides assurance that duty and noise data are stated accurately. This allows refrigeration systems to be designed with confidence using correctly sized and matched equipment, leading to lower capital outlay and reduced running costs through improved energy efficiency. Product Offerings

Coolers are available to meet every supermarket application. Coolers for reach-in cold cabinets, walk-in cold cabinets and small cold stores include the JG, TG and LDF, offering capacities from 0.3kW to 8.5kW. The NS, KSe and KMe coolers are suitable for larger cold stores and offer capacities from 1.2kW to 28kW. Dual discharge coolers are available for cold rooms and preparation areas, including the DSR offering capacities from 0.8kW to 15kW. Most coolers are available with a choice of fin spacings and with a number of defrost options, making them ideal for use at high, medium or low temperatures.

Searle offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of Eurovent-certified air-cooled condensers in Europe. With capacities ranging from 7.5kW up to 1330kW at nominal conditions, and with many low-noise options available, there is a condenser to suit all supermarket applications. Units can be specified with a choice of coil materials giving added protection in aggressive atmospheres, and circuiting can be specified to suit the requirements and layout of the refrigeration system(s). Units can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and all Searle’s condensers can be configured to operate as dry-air liquid coolers.

The lightweight and versatile MDA is the smallest condenser in the range, offering from 7.5kW to 36kW. The MDE is the mid-range product, offering 11kW to 144kW and an extensive range of options. The popular and long-running MDG, offers capacities from 23kW to 863kW, using up to twelve fans. Two-speed motors are supplied as standard and can be used for night-time turn-down, noise level reductions and/or power savings during low ambient conditions. Further, more sophisticated speed control options are available, giving very close control of head pressure. For larger applications, or where space is at a premium, Searle offers a range of V-bank condensers extending the capacity range to over 1300kW.

Searle offers a number of ranges of condensing units ideal for supermarket use. The compact, highly-efficient NXS / NXR range offers capacities of 0.6 kW to 44kW across low and medium temperatures, with a choice of refrigerants. With noise levels down to 33dB(A), the range is ideal for use in any application where space and noise could be limiting factors. Larger capacities (up to 95kW) at similar noise levels are offered by the HCU range. All Searle’s condensing units offer fast and easy installation, minimal maintenance and low lifetime costs. The fully weatherproof units are suitable for floor or roof mounting. Smaller units may be wall mounted or, where space is at a premium, double stacked. Wall brackets, stacking frames and vandal-proof guards are also available.
